Tapajós rio que encanta a todos que tem o prazer em tomar banho em suas águas cristalinas, que mata a sede daqueles que dependem de suas águas para sobreviver. Rio este que mostra a beleza de suas embarcações que navegam transportando passageiros de um lugar a outro.
São tantos os benefícios que este rio traz ao povo de Santarém que em troca de seus favores lhe dão lixo em suas margens, esgotos derramando em suas águas, óleo e serragens estragando a beleza que um dia existia ali. o Tapajós
chora clemência, pede por ajuda, clama por justiça pelos crimes ambientais que o homem resolveu lhe obrigar a conviver. Vamos cuidar do que é nosso, um dia toda essa água vai desaparecer e os homens que hoje riem, matam, poluem vão chorar por aquilo que sempre esteve alí e não soube aproveitar. Salve a natureza!!!

Santarém é uma bela cidade, rica em paisagens naturais que poderiam ser melhor exploradas. Mas ao meu ver falta investimento na área de turismo para que possam atender as necessidades básicas para receber melhor os turístas. Como por exemplo, falta placas de sinalização com os nomes das ruas e praças em inglês para que o turísta possa ler e encontrar os lugares que deseja visitar com mais facilidade. Além disso, os guias turísticos deveriam ter mais preparo para recepcionar os visitantes, deveriam saber falar inglês fluentemente e levá-los a lugares diferentes e não aos mesmo de sempre. Temos muitas prais lindas que não são mostradas, pois a única que apresentam é Alter-do-Chão. Deveriam também divulgar a cultura santarena através de danças regionais, músicas da nossa terra, comidas típicas, artesanato e outros, dando assim oportunidade para os artista daqui mostram seu trabalho. mas, o que eu gostaria de revelar é que apesar de nossas belezas, a infraestrutura de Santarém deixa muito a desejar, o centro da cidade por exemplo, sempre está sujo, não por falta de coleta de lixo, mas pela falta de conscientização dos donos de lojas que sujam mais não limpam. Sem falar que os pedestres não tem acesso às calçadas, pois os lojistas ocupam com mercadorias, obrigando os mesmos a arriscarem suas vidas em meio a carros e motos. Então eu pergunto Cadê a fiscalização?

A "Pérola do Tapajós", como ficou poeticamente conhecida a cidade de Santarém, está situada na microrregião do Médio Amazonas, a 36m de altitude, na confluência dos rios Amazonas e Tapajós. Dista 1.369 km da capital do estado (807 em linha reta aproximadamente) e ocupa uma área de 22.887,08 km², com uma população de 274.285. O clima é quente e úmido com temperatura média anual variando de 25º a 28°C. Apresenta pluviosidade média de 1.920 mm. As temperaturas mais elevadas ocorrem entre os meses de junho a novembro e o período de maior precipitação pluviométrica é dezembro a maio. Existe na cidade um forte sentimento de separação do Pará, formando o Estado do Tapajós. Situa-se a 2º 24" 52" de latitude sul e 54º 42" 36" de longitude oeste, na região do oeste paraense, na meso região do Baixo Amazonas, na micro região de Santarém e localiza-se na margem direita do rio Tapajós, na sua confluência com o rio Amazonas. Dista cerca de 807 km, em linha reta, da capital do Estado.
